Pro Tools 24 / Mix / Mix plus systems feature a choice of 16 or 24 Bit recording, mixing and processing, through a wide variety of audio and digital interfaces. Between 32 and 64 tracks of audio recording / playback can be achieved, as well as on board realtime DSP and mixing facilities including a wide range of third party plug in software.

Input and output channels and formats may be configured as required, ranging from 8 to 72 discrete analogue or digital paths through a totally flexible digital matrix. Direct support for tactile mix surfaces such as "Pro Control" or Mackie Designs "Human User Interface" help to make Pro Tools probably the most flexible and powerful DAW available.
