LOCATION Situated in the beautiful surroundings of Bavaria, Munich is a key artistic centre, servicing both the music and film industries. DAT Studios are centrally located in Munich just a stone's throw away from the beautiful English-Gardens and only a cab ride away from the city's main airport. We have a close working relationship with many major studios, producers and engineers in London, and have particular affiliation with DAT Productions, who are based at the world renowned Phoenix Studios in Wembley PHILOSOPHY With a foundation built by experienced and prestigious members of the audio industry, supplemented by the fresh talents of the younger engineers, we pride ourselves on the quality of service we provide. We work in a relaxed, international atmosphere where every project is delivered to the highest standard. Our engineers are some of the finest in the industry today and will deliver a world class level of creative and technical excellence. FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT THE MIX ROOM@DAT Our Miller & Kreisel 5.1 monitoring system is perfect for mixing and ideal for mastering in many surround formats. The quality of acoustics and the monitoring system were an absolute priority in the design of the studio. We use a digitally controlled, analogue Euphonix desk, combined with the best digital recorder and multi-track converters. This gives us the finest analogue sound with all the convenience and flexibility of digital control and recall. The studio is equipped with ProTools and a Euphonix R1, capable of recording at 24-bit, 96kHz. We are able to integrate all audio and video formats into the studio, and will happily arrange for transfers as necessary. We can take your multi-track recording, overdub as necessary, mix in stereo and surround, and produce the final encoded master format.
PRO TOOLS SUITES@DAT Ideal for spotting sessions, editing, programming and prep work for the Mix-Room. The rooms are also ideal for Dolby Digital and DTS encoding for music or film. Any video format can be supported, and 5.1 monitoring is provided by near-field Dynaudio or Genelec speakers. The DAT Group has already performed more than 2,000 hours of Dolby Digital encoding - these figures are based on audio restoration work that we carry out for a major international broadcaster.
